With Spring here and lots of sunshine to enjoy, Dylan has been busy performing and working on exciting upcoming projects both as a solo artist and with the Welsh Super group, Alaw. They are performing a sold out headline double bill with Cynefin at Theatr Gwaun for the 2025 Abergwaun Folk Festival on Sunday 25 May. The event is being filmed so keep an eye out for future YouTube postings.

There are three new YouTube shorts on Dylan's channel giving a taste of his appearance at Buckholt Bryngaer. It includes a wonderful duo with Suunto Susso playing a West African Kora: see it HERE.

Why are Dylan's live performances so brilliant? This letter from the Buckholt Bryngaer MayFest producer, Will Cohu, explains:

"Thank you from all of us for playing such a fantastic set at Mayfest last week. Everyone who had the good fortune to be there was mesmerised. It was a virtuoso guitar journey of great humanity that flowed beautifully through form and genre and culture - and you also took us on an inner journey to a rare stillness. Even outside, you could have heard a pin drop, or a twig snap. That’s something - to hold a sold-out venue, in that extraordinary woodland setting at that distractingly beautiful time of day. But you became one with it, even with the birdsong! And then the jamming with Suntou Susso when the sun had finally set was sheer delight. We have had so many happy comments in person and on social media. The word most used is “magical”. It really was.

Very best wishes to you on your own journey. See you soon!"
This month's YouTube film (from Sogil's YouTube channel) takes Dylan back a few years to a Celtic Guitar Journeys performance with Ian Melrose and the late Soig Sibéril, recorded live in Berlin.

At the end of May into early June, Dylan is off to Belgium to the Merode festival and then on to Liege. The next opportunity to catch Dylan playing with Gill Stevens as the Taith Duo, will be in August - more later.
